Since 1995, The Consultation Center's program for relative
caregivers, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, has been offering a monthly support
group meeting, respite activities, legislative advocacy and training in
advocacy, technical assistance to people starting new groups, a quarterly
newsletter, and information and referral.
Support group meetings, facilitated by staff of The Consultation Center, take place on the third Thursday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 830 Whitney Ave., New Haven.
Child care is provided for ages 3-10. Usually, the meetings include a
featured speaker.
