The Consultation CenterThe Consultation Center provides prevention services, research, and training. Our mission is to promote the development of individuals and families, prevent mental disorders and problem behaviors, and enhance the effectiveness of mental health and other human services. The professional staff of The Consultation Center have been providing services and conducting research for over 30 years. An interdisciplinary approach and preventive orientation are unique features of our work. We draw on the multiple perspectives of psychology, social work, education, psychiatry, public health, and administration.

Shawn Lang Receives 2011 Award
At its Annual Meeting on 9/12/11, The Consultation Center presented Shawn Lang with the 2011 Award for Excellence in Prevention. This award is the highest honor given by TCC to a member of the community, and acknowledges the many different types of contributions that are possible in prevention or health promotion. Ms. Lang received the award in recognition of her commitment to advocate for and empower people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS to improve access to housing, care and prevention.
