Crusto, Cindy, A, Ph.D.

Cindy A. Crusto, Ph.D. is Director of Program and Service System Evaluation at The Consultation Center and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry (Psychology) at Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Crusto has more than 15 years of experience in developing and implementing prevention and mental health intervention programs and their evaluation in schools and community-based agencies for children and their families. She also has extensive experience providing training and technical assistance to community-based organizations and school districts regarding the evaluation of prevention programs. She is interested in clinical and preventive interventions for children and adolescents, culturally relevant interventions for ethnic minority and low-income populations, and school-based mental health services.

Dr. Crusto's research areas of interest include ecological influences on school failure and dropout and evaluation of juvenile justice, violence, school readiness, and substance use abuse community-based initiatives.
